About the Course

This session will focus on how we can best support school transitions for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families and will include talks concerning the experiences of children with SEND and their families and recent research findings about transition from primary to secondary school during the times of COVID-19 pandemic. There will also be the opportunity to share your views concerning evidence-based resources for children, families and professionals.

Dr Heather Nuske is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Penn Centre for Mental Health at the University of Pennsylvania, USA.

Ms Aimee Code is an Associate Lecturer at the Department of Education at the University of York.
